Congress is proposing to end Public Service Loan Forgiveness (PSLF).
Public servants (firefighters, nurses, active military, teachers, first responders etc.) who complete 10 years of public service work while making 10 years of repayments toward their student loans can have their remaining student loan balance forgiven right now thanks to PSLF. But Congress is threatening to eliminate this program.
Without PSLF, we will lose talented public servants.
Join our movement by contacting Congress and telling your Senators and Representative to PRESERVE Public Service Loan Forgiveness.
- PSLF is essential for the recruitment and retention of public servants
- To earn PSLF, a public servant must make 120 on-time monthly payments while employed at a government or nonprofit organization
- This is the only program that serves a majority of public servants
