We need your voice!
Public servants (firefighters, nurses, active military, teachers, first responders etc.) who complete 10 years of public service work while making 10 years of repayments toward their student loans can have their remaining student loan balance forgiven right now thanks to PSLF.
But the Administration and Congress have tried to eliminate this program as part of budget cuts or through the reauthorization of the Higher Education Act. We need you to take action to ensure the future of this vital program! The 116th Congress has just taken office, and so now is the time to please call your Member of Congress to remind them how important PSLF is to you and your community!
Join our movement by contacting Congress and telling your Senators and Representative to PRESERVE Public Service Loan Forgiveness.
- PSLF is essential for the recruitment and retention of public servants in our community
- To earn PSLF, a public servant must make 120 on-time monthly payments while employed at a government or nonprofit organization
- This is the only program that serves a majority of public servants
