Senate Education Committee Chair Jason Lewis, along with House Chair Alice Peisch, are working to craft legislation that would make sure students in low-income communities receive the funding they desperately need to access a high-quality education – the kind of education that students from higher income communities already receive.
But it's not enough to just spend more money. We need to spend money in ways that will make a difference to the students who need it the most. We need to spend money in ways that we can measure so that we can see achievements, so that parents can measure the change and the benefits to students.
